Euro-2024 (U-17): today the youth national team of Ukraine will start in the qualification round of the tournament

Today, October 15, the youth national team of Ukraine (football players born no older than 2007) begins the fight in the qualifying round of Euro-2024 (U-17).

The Blue and Yellows are drawn in Group 3 along with Germany, Finland and Liechtenstein. The mini-tournament will be held from October 15 to 21 in Liechtenstein (Sportsplatz Blumenau in Triesen and Sportpark Eschen-Mauren in Eschen). To get to the elite round of selection, you need to take first or second place in the quartet. Tickets will also be given to the five best third teams out of 13.

"We carefully collected information about the candidates. Some of the football players were at the spring meeting, some at the autumn meeting. But the greatest emphasis was placed on those performers who have more game practice. In addition, many of our guys perform abroad, and it is not so easy to follow them.

The national teams of Germany and Finland are very strong teams in this age category. It will be difficult. However, I believe in my team, which will do everything to qualify for the elite round," said Volodymyr Yezerskyi, head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine, on the eve of the tournament in Liechtenstein.
