WU-17: the women's national team of Ukraine drew with Romania in the first round of Euro-2024 selection

Today, on October 17, the girls' national team of Ukraine WU-17 in the German city of Duisburg continued the fight in the first round of qualification for the 2024 European Championship.

In the opening round, Serhiy Sapronov's wards lost to the Germans (0:5), and now met with Romanian women.

During the match, the blue-yellow team had the advantage in terms of shots, but they failed to break through the opponent's goalkeeper at least once. As a result, the game ended in a draw — 0:0.

The next Euro-2024 qualification match (WU-17) will be played by the Ukrainian women against the Austrian team on October 20 (starting at 14:00 Kyiv time).

The fourth-placed teams in League A will continue their season in the second round in League B. The seeding of the participants before the second round will depend on the places in their groups that the teams occupy in the first round. Sweden also participates in the competition, despite the direct ticket to the final part, which belongs to them as hosts.

League B teams will compete for promotion to League A in six groups. The group winners and the runner-up with the best record against the first and third-placed teams in their groups will advance to the top division.
