Euro-2024 (U-17): the youth national team of Ukraine confidently beat their peers from Liechtenstein

Today, with a match against Liechtenstein, the youth national team of Ukraine (U-17) continued its struggle in the qualifying round of Euro-2024.

At the start of the mini-tournament in group 3, the blue-yellow team shared the points with the Finns (2:2), and now met with the hosts from Liechtenstein. The game was played at the Sportpark Eschen-Mauren stadium in Eschen.

The Ukrainians very quickly gained a comfortable advantage. First, Stepanov blocked a partner's pass from the left wing, then Bohdanov beat the goalkeeper with a brilliant shot from a long distance. In the 21st minute, Stepanov scored a double by heading Dragan's free-kick. Before the break, Dragan himself scored a goal by converting a penalty.

In the second half, Stepanov completed a hat-trick, finding out in someone else's penalty area. Garmash also scored an effective penalty kick, and Uhan sent the ball into an empty net after a cross from his partner. In the end, Volodymyr Yezerskyi's wards confidently took the upper hand - 7:0 and led their quartet.

For a guaranteed exit from the group, the Ukrainian national team will settle for a draw with the Germans. Otherwise, the situation in other groups will have to be taken into account.
