Euro-2025 (U-21): the youth national team of Ukraine won the fourth victory in the qualifying tournament

Today, November 17, the youth national team of Ukraine held its next match in the Euro-2025 (U-21) qualifying tournament — in Murcia, Spain, against the Luxembourg team.

The current selection cycle of the European Championship, the youth national team of Ukraine (players born in 2002 and younger), led by the Spaniard Unai Melgosa, began with three consecutive victories, in particular, defeating the reigning European champions, the English, in an October home match (3:2).

Now, in the Spanish Murcia, the blue and yellow team hosted the Luxembourg team. From the start, the Ukrainians began to dominate the field, took the ball under their control. The first goal-scoring moment was when Vanat went one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but Latik saved his team. Shortly after the throw-in from deep, Rubchynskyi scored with a second touch - again the goalkeeper parried.

In the 24th minute, the Ukrainians almost scored at their own goal, but Nescheret saved his partners. Later, Batagov connected on a corner kick and headed, but Latik was on the spot. Then Vyunnyk blocked Vanat's cross, but his shot was covered by a defender. And yet, in the 35th minute, the blue-yellow team opened the scoring: after a great throw from Batagov, Voloshyn sent Vanata into an empty net.

At the beginning of the second half, Luxembourg remained in the minority - Burberry received a second warning. In the future, a barrage of dangerous attacks from the Ukrainians rained down, Latik saved his team several times. However, in the 64th minute, Batagov came to the corner and after rebounding from the opponent doubled the advantage of the blue-yellow team. Soon, Voloshyn also sent the ball into the net, who made a great shot from the corner kick.

In the 74th minute, the combination of Ocheretko-Smolyakov-Krasnopir brought our team the fourth goal. Our boys could have scored more, but they stopped at the final score of 4:0.
