Euro-2025 (U-21): the youth national team of Ukraine is preparing for the match with Azerbaijan

On Tuesday, November 21, the youth national team of Ukraine will hold its next match in the Euro-2025 (U-21) qualifying tournament against the Azerbaijan team.

The current selection cycle of the European Championship, the youth national team of Ukraine (players born in 2002 and younger), led by the Spaniard Unai Melgosa, started with four consecutive victories. Our guys won the last victory a few days ago, defeating Luxembourg (4:0).

Bohdan V'youth (striker): "We were nervous at first with Luxembourg, but when we scored the first goal, it became very easy to play, especially after the red card. We knew that the Luxembourgers are very compact in defense, and the goalkeeper also prevented me from scoring."

Vladyslav Vanat (striker): "In the match against Luxembourg, we showed a good game. I don't know if the installation was successful, let's look at the theories."

Arseniy Batagov (defender): "It doesn't happen very often in my career that I take productive actions. Therefore, I can say that the match was successful. Plus, the team played to zero, which is very good. There was a moment when we did not get along with Salyuk, and the opponent did not hit the goal at all.

We play attacking football, we combine well, we press well, we can even go lower in defense - this is also not a problem for us, as it was in the match against England. I think we are a versatile team that can play in any system. Now here is a very strong team, we are ready to go to the Euro."

We would like to add that the match between Ukraine and Azerbaijan can be watched live on the UAF YouTube channel.
