Volodymyr Pyatenko: "There is still a chance to rise in class, so we will fight to the end"

On December 1 and 5, the women's national team of Ukraine will hold two final matches in the group tournament of the UEFA Nations League debut draw.

The match of the 5th round between Ukraine and Poland will be held on December 1 at the Stal stadium in the Polish city of Stalowa Wola (starting at 19:00 Kyiv time). And the match of the 6th round between Serbia and Ukraine will take place on December 5 in the Serbian town of Stara Pazova at the central stadium of the football base of the national teams (Stadium Sports Center of FA of Serbia). The game starts at 20:00 Kyiv time.

Volodymyr Pyatenko, the acting head coach of the women's national team of Ukraine, in a comment to the official UAF website, spoke about the latest news from the team's location:

— Before going to Ryashev in Poland for the four-day stage of preparation, we gathered in Lviv, where we visited finals of the Cup of Ukraine. The match, in which 12 players of the national team representing "Vorskla" and "Kryvbas" took part, was liked, but it was very important to avoid injuries. Unfortunately, Anna Petryk from "Vorskla" did not escape damage. It's good that it turned out not to be serious, and Poltava went with us to Poland.

— However, personnel changes in the national team after the last matches in the League of Nations with the Greek women did take place...

— The injured Anastasia Voronina from Kolos was replaced by Olga Basanska from Kryvbas, and Maryna Shaynyuk from Vorskla was replaced by Tamila Khimich from Zhytlobud-1. Olga Ovdiychuk from the Turkish "Fomget" was injured already in Ryašev, and Yana Malakhova from the Slovenian FC "Mura Nona" had to be called urgently.

— Is everything going according to plan at the meeting in Ryashev?

"Unfortunately, due to the snowfall, we haven't trained on natural grass yet. We have to limit ourselves to activities in the playpen on an artificial surface.

— What information do you have about Poland?

- They also have personnel losses, but the captain of the national team, Eva Payor, who defends the colors of the German "Wolfsburg", is in the lineup. It was she who scored a double in the first match with our team, and a lot will depend on whether she will be lucky enough to neutralize her.

The mood of my wards is fighting, there is still a chance to improve in the class, so we will fight to the end.
