Today in Hamburg, the UEFA Executive Committee approved the prize distribution system for the teams that will take part in the Euro 2024 final tournament, which will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14.
Euro-2024 prize fund
The amount to be distributed among the participating teams is 331 million euros. Participation fee — 9,25 million euros, match bonus — 1 million euros for a win and 500 euros for a draw, qualification for the 1/8 finals — 1,5 million euros, for the quarterfinals — 2,5 million euros, to the semi-finals - 4 million euros, the vice-champions will receive an additional payment in the amount of 5 million euros, and the champions of Europe-2024 - 8 million euros. The maximum amount that a champion team can receive if they win all three group matches is €28,25 million.
UEFA Nations League 2024/2025
The draw procedure and the UEFA Nations League match schedule for the 2024/2025 season were approved. The draw will take place on February 8, 2024 in Paris, at the Maison de la Mutualité.
UEFA women's club competitions
UEFA's executive committee approved the new format of the UEFA Women's Champions League, which will consist of an 18-team tournament stage with three home and three away matches and subsequent play-offs, as well as the creation of a second European women's club tournament. The changes take effect from the 2025/2026 season.
The tournament schedule has been approved for eight venues in Switzerland, which will host matches from 2nd to 27th July 2025 (Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, Sion, St. Gallen, Thun and Zurich). The opening match and the final will be held in Basel.
Women's Futsal Euro
After the launch of the first Women's Futsal World Cup in 2025, it was decided to cancel the European Championship in 2024-2025 and introduce a four-year Euro cycle with the next final tournament in 2027.
In addition, the number of teams participating in the final tournament will be increased from four to eight.
Latvia and Lithuania have been appointed hosts of the Euro 2026 final futsal tournament, with matches to be held in Riga and Kaunas.
The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee will take place on the eve of the regular 48th UEFA Congress in Paris on February 7, 2024.
