Mykola Kostenko also outlined the goals of the blue-and-yellow team at prestigious competitions and spoke about the preparation for them.

"On July 30, we leave Kyiv for Moldova, and on the 31st, we have an official training session scheduled in Chisinau. On August 1, we play against France, on the 2nd — against Latvia, and on the 3rd — against Italy."

Our opponents are no less serious than in the first stage. The Italians are always among the top teams. The French performed excellently in the qualifying stage in Spain: they took first place in their group, scored nine points. They even beat the current Euroleague champions - the Portuguese. All the leaders are in the lineup, plus several young performers have appeared. But the most important thing is that they are in very good functional condition, due to which they simply moved Portugal. Therefore, our first match, with France, relatively speaking, will be decisive. 

Our minimum goal to reach the Superfinal with 100% certainty is two wins in the group. But, of course, we set ourselves the maximum goal of winning this round by winning three. That is why we are actively preparing, the training process is going according to plan.

We expect to hold training sessions in Kyiv on Monday and Tuesday. All the players of the national team are in combat readiness, participating in many matches of their clubs. The final part of the Kyiv championship is currently underway. There are six teams of approximately the same level, so there is a tense struggle. All the guys are working and are in good playing shape, because now is the peak part of the season,” said Mykola Kostenko.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian beach soccer team participated in the first stage of the Euroleague Super Final 2025 qualifiers. At the competition in the Spanish town of El Puerto de Santa Maria, the blue and yellow team scored six points and took second place in Group 1. The Ukrainians defeated Germany (3:2) and Georgia (5:1), but lost to Spain (3:5).
