Head coach of the Ukrainian U-15 national team (football players born no older than 2011) Volodymyr Samborsky talked about the team's plans at the current training camp.

The youngest youth national team of Ukraine, U-15, has begun a training camp, during which it will participate in the UEFA Development Tournament, which will be held from December 17 to 22 in Portugal.

Before the start of this training camp, the head coach of the blue and yellow team, Volodymyr Samborsky, answered questions from the official UAF website.

Mr. Volodymyr, to participate in the UEFA Development Tournament, have you called up the strongest players at the moment, or will this be a selection camp to some extent?

— To say now that these 14- or 15-year-old boys are the strongest today would not be entirely correct. We called up those players who showed themselves during the first round in their teams, as well as legionnaires about whom we have enough information. Although there are still many players on the list, whom we continue to monitor. This process, especially at this age, does not stop.

This is the first international training camp for this team, so it was difficult for us to decide on some positions. The team is still forming, so I wouldn't say that everyone in the team is the strongest right now. But let's hope that our guys won't be afraid of anyone and will demonstrate their best qualities.

Given what you said, what tasks will you set for the team?

— Every athlete who wants to achieve something should always strive for victory. But, of course, the result is not our main goal.

— Are Greece, Ireland, and Portugal also just starting their journey, or are they more experienced, if I may say so?

— So far, we only have information about the Irish, who have already played several matches, but we will study other opponents during the competition. But it's okay, we will try to build on our game, the principles that we will try to convey to our players. Individually, we have good performers, the main thing is to set the team up psychologically.
