After the match against England, the head coach of the Ukrainian women's national team commented on Nicole Kozlova's injury, assessed the team's performance, and spoke about preparations for the next match against Spain.

— Before the game against England, you wanted to see courage and a desire to enjoy the game. Was that in the team's actions?

— Yes, I'm actually proud of the girls. Could we have played better? Yes. Could we have made fewer mistakes? Yes. But that's all part of football. What's important is that they believed in themselves. And at some point the girls even enjoyed the fact that such a powerful team couldn't break their defense — I saw that. Someone might say that the English girls were just inaccurate in the first half. Maybe. But it was our girls who, with their dedication at every moment, forced them to make mistakes.

— Comment on Nicole Kozlova's injury. How much did it affect the mood in the team?

— Nicole is a very important player for us. We all understand the severity of the injury, but we know that Nick is strong and will return to us an even better and stronger version of herself. We are all with her now, supporting her. We wish her strength and patience, because the road back to the field will be long. But we will be in touch and support her as much as we can.

— What are the main aspects of preparing for the match against Spain?

— Spain, in my opinion, has an even more powerful attacking arsenal. So, of course, we focus on defense and counterattacks. It is very difficult — both physically and mentally — to play matches against the two best teams in the world in four days. But I tell the team: if we want to progress, we have to improve our game regardless of the level of our opponents and the density of the schedule.
