12 teams, consisting of combatants, war veterans, military personnel, employees of state institutions, and representatives of law enforcement agencies, took part in the competition.

Before the start of the tournament, the participants were addressed by honored guests: Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Ruslan Prykhodko, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Center "Invasport" Vadym Gutsalyuk, and Manager of the Amateur and Mass Football Department of the Football Development Department of the Ukrainian Football Association Maryan Yaskiv.

"Now we are building, together with the UAF and its president Andriy Shevchenko, an entire system for veterans. The "League of the Strong" is already operating, which has already received awards from UEFA. We are also working on organizing a full-fledged Ukrainian championship among veterans, where each of you will be able to find yourself after returning to civilian life," Ruslan Prykhodko noted.

"We are happy to welcome everyone to our fields and always support the military, and this cooperation has been going on since the beginning of a full-scale war. This allows the military to psychologically relieve themselves and undergo rehabilitation through football," said Maryan Yaskiv.

The 12 participating teams were divided into three groups of four teams. Following the group stage, the winners of the groups that took first place, as well as the best team among those that took second place in their quartets, advanced to the semifinals.
