"School Ball" is an updated format of the legendary "Leather Ball", which is rapidly gaining popularity after its relaunch. In the second season of the all-Ukrainian competition, 3 thousand schools and 50 thousand students - boys and girls born no older than 2014 - took part. This is three times more than last year, when the tournament brought together about a thousand schools and 15 thousand young football players.

Having overcome several previous stages, only 22 best teams — each of them represented a separate school and was the winner of their regional tournament. The final stage was held from May 17 to 20 in Vynnyky, Lviv region, at the base of FC "Rukh".

Thus, the winner and prize-winners were determined. «School ball» season 2025/2026:

1st place — Ternopil Specialized School No. 3 (Ternopil region)
2nd place — Ivano-Frankivsk Lyceum No. 10 (Ivano-Frankivsk region)
3rd place — Bakhmatsky Lyceum No. 1 (Chernihiv region)

Players from the tournament's finalist teams received a trip to the Italian Football Development Center in Coverciano as a prize.

The award ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Ukrainian Football Association: 

• Andriy Shevchenko — President of the UAF, winner of the Golden Ball
• Artem Stoyanov — First Vice-President of the UAF
• Oleksandr Shevchenko — Vice-President of the UAF, Chairman of the Lviv Football Association
• Oleksandr Kadenko — Chairman of the Amateur Football Association of Ukraine, member of the UEFA Commission on Grassroots Football
• Oleg Luzhnyi — Chairman of the Professional Football Committee, former defender of the Ukrainian national team and London's Arsenal
• Olena Balbek — Director of the UAF Foundation Charitable Foundation

After the final tournament, all its participants will have the opportunity to attend the Ukrainian Cup final between Dynamo and Chernihiv, which will take place today, May 20, at the Lviv Arena.
