From April 30 to May 2, the UAF, together with the Rokada Charitable Foundation, is holding an all-Ukrainian tournament among girls' amateur football teams, the "Girls' League of Unity", which brings together participants from different regions of Ukraine.
The teams include girls aged 12-14 from host communities, internally displaced children, children affected by war, and orphans.
The aim of the initiative is to use football as a tool for integration, psychosocial support and development of children who have experienced displacement or other difficult life circumstances. The tournament is aimed at creating a safe environment, developing team interaction, communication skills, and self-confidence.
The initiative is implemented over three days and covers the full cycle of participants' stay in Kyiv, including accommodation, meals, logistics, sports, educational and integration activities.
The tournament is attended by 80 girls and 16 adult chaperones. The teams represent Odessa, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk regions. All participants live in Kyiv for the three days of the event.
A team convention was held in Kyiv on April 30. In the afternoon, participants will take part in an interactive event at "Republic Park", which includes team activities and visits to attractions aimed at getting to know each other and creating an informal atmosphere.
The first stage of the tournament will take place on May 1: the official opening and start of matches will take place at 10:00. Games will be held simultaneously on four fields and will last approximately until 12:00. From 13:00 to 16:00, participants will visit the Football House, where they will be given a tour and training.
The final stage of the tournament will take place on May 2, starting at 10:00 a.m. The awards ceremony will take place from 14:00 p.m. to 14:30 p.m., and will include the presentation of medals, cups, individual awards, pennants, diplomas and certificates of appreciation, as well as gifts.
