The Mariupol District Open Cup in Minifootball was held in Kyiv

The tournament was dedicated to the defenders of Ukraine — all those who stood up for our Motherland. The tournament was attended by combatants, veterans, and internally displaced persons from the Donetsk region.

The Head of the Mariupol District State Administration, Head of the District Military Administration, Oleksandr Panasenko, addressed the participants of the competition with a welcoming speech: "Dear guests, organizers and participants. This tournament once again demonstrates that we are worthy, worthy of the light, that everything is good for us. On this day, we honor the memory of our defenders. Honor to them, honor to veterans. May the stronger win on the field."

Among the honored guests of the cup were the head of the Kalchytsk Military Administration Volodymyr Matyash, the head of the Sartansk Military Administration Oleksandr Kurkchy, the head of the Nikolsk Military Administration Volodymyr Khalabuzar, the deputy mayor of Mariupol Mykhailo Ivchenko, the deputy head of the Mangushsk Military Administration Svitlana Lutsenko, the manager of amateur and mass football of the UAF Maryan Yaskiv, and the first deputy of the Donetsk Oblast Football Association Oleh Zubarev.

— Donetsk Oblast IDP team.

The first symbolic kick was made by Yaroslav Palyokha, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war who had been released from captivity.

It should be noted that after the tournament, the manager of amateur and mass football of the UAF, Maryan Yaskiv, gave IDP children a tour of the Football House, where they visited the museum and learned a lot of interesting things.
