Arcadia-Aval (Odessa) is a two-time winner of the Kyiv Football Cup!
The Kyiv Football Cup international veteran football tournament took place in the capital of Ukraine. The sporting event has become a tradition and is held once a year in early July.
The tournament is organized by the European League of Veterans, the age of participants is 40 years and older.
The composition and geography of participants is expanding every year, and 2018 teams from seven countries took part in the Kyiv Football Cup-16: Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine. Along with football clubs, veteran national teams of Armenia and Estonia came to Kyiv for the first time.
Among the participants were famous football players in the past: Eduard Tsikhmeistruk, Valentin Poltavets, Igor Shukhovtsev, Alexander Kosirin, Svyatoslav Syrota, Ruslan Kostyshyn, Viktor Moroz, players of the Armenian national team Yervand Sukiasyan, Artur Kocharyan, Egishe Melikyan.
16 teams were divided into four groups. Following the results of the first game day, Odesa's Arkady-Aval, the national team of Armenia and Kyiv's CSKA and FC Armiya reached the final four.
In the semifinals, Odessa was stronger than the national team of Armenia, and "Army" beat CSKA.
In the final match, Arcadia-Aval did not leave any chances for FC Armiya - 5: 2.
The next Kyiv Football Cup will take place in Kyiv on July 4-6, 2019, and 24 teams from 15 countries will take part in it.
