Ukrainian children's coaches met with a UEFA expert at the forum

At the end of August, as part of the program of the tournament "Crimea is Ukraine-2018" in the premises of the Kherson Regional State Administration held a training forum on the development of children's and youth football, which was held by FFU and the newly established Football Institute.

The main speaker of the forum was UEFA expert on the development of elite youth football Roger Mehtri.

Mr Mayhtri told the audience about the Swiss program for developing the talents of young footballers, organizing tests within the program and outlining the clear timelines in which it works. The published experience became very interesting and useful for all present. It is planned to take such practice as a basis in the formation of the program of development of talents from the Football Federation of Ukraine.

In his second presentation, Mr. Roger spoke about the organization of work on the selection of teams in youth football on the experience of Switzerland, France and other leading European football countries. In particular, the speaker paid attention to the payment of compensation by professional clubs in favor of children's and youth sports facilities. In his report on this issue, Mr. Meichtry noted that the payment of compensation for the training of young players from professional clubs in favor of CYSS is a common practice and responsibility of every club. The indisputable obligation to pay compensation arises during the conclusion of the first professional contract. And in the case of a young player's transfer from club to club at the age of boys and juniors, the club that invites the player must pay a considerable amount to the club from which such a player leaves. It is this rule in the relevant regulations that prevents the so-called "theft" of young players.

In the third presentation, Roger Meichtri spoke about the main trends in football and related new approaches in the organization of the training process in children's and youth teams. The UEFA expert stressed the need for a systematic approach to training young players from the initial stage. Mr. Meichtry also noted that one of the main principles of the organization of the training and educational process of football players is that there are no small things in it.

All the coaches in attendance, who were more than 35, very much appreciated the performance of the UEFA expert on the development of elite youth football and said that the information provided by Mr. Maytree is very interesting and useful in their practical work.

After the main part of the forum, talks were held with Mr. Meichtri on his participation in the next educational and methodological events, which will soon be initiated by the Football Institute. The leading UEFA expert kindly agreed to accept the invitation. The topics of future training events will be pre-agreed and made public.

The corresponding secretary of the Institute of Football Valeriy Zolotukhin emphasized that such training activities will be carried out on a regular basis in different regions of Ukraine.
