Premier League. Shakhtar won the championship for the seventh time in a row
The leader of the Ukrainian Premier League started the 10th round of the competition with a landslide victory in Lviv.
Shakhtar arrived in the western capital for the next match of the championship, keeping in mind the match of the group stage of the Champions League against Lyon. The Pitmen approached the game with Karpaty with a series of six victories in the Premier League in a row. Lviv residents, in turn, on Tuesday defeated "Sumy" in the 1/16 finals of the Cup of Ukraine.
Compared to the last round, Paulo Fonseca resorted to a minimal rotation, releasing Matvienko in defense instead of Butko. The first goal of the match in the 13th minute was also scored by the defender - Rakitsky executed a free kick from close range. Karpaty briefly withdrew from the game, but the second half of the first half was a benefit for the Orange and Blacks.
Shakhtar's goals went one after another. First, there was a great combination of Tyson - Ismaili - Fernando, and the latter scored his second goal for Donetsk this season. In the 29th minute, the top scorer of the championship Moraes took advantage of a mistake by Carrascal after the standard. Soon Maicon took Marlos on a date with Kuczynski, and the midfielder of the Ukrainian national team confidently beat the goalkeeper. The fifth goal was scored by the same Marlos, but this time not without the help of a ricochet from Borodai.
In the second half, Fonseca's charges slowed down, but continued to create moments. Karpaty played on counterattacks, but they did not manage to upset Pyatov. Meanwhile, Shakhtar scored for the sixth time when Matvienko responded to Alan Patrick's throw-in. For Mykola, this goal was the first in an orange and black T-shirt. Feeling responsible to their fans, Lviv still scored in extra time - the Swede in the corporate style moved to the center and put the ball in the "nine".
The players of the national team of Ukraine contributed to the victory of the Pitmen: Pyatov, Rakitsky (goal, yellow card), Kryvtsov, Matvienko (goal), Stepanenko (substituted during the break), Marlos (double, substituted in the 66th minute).
Thus, Shakhtar won the seventh victory in the Premier League in a row and now has 27 points.
