Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine midfielder Marlos underwent surgery in Barcelona. Surgery is associated with groin painin which bothered the player during the season.
"For eight months I played with very severe pain, I could not train one hundred percent. Unfortunately, surgery was needed. Only relatives know how upset I am because I could not help the team the way I wanted. But I promise to come back even stronger! I want to achieve all our goals with Shakhtar. The club expects a six-week renewal period. Thus, the midfielder will miss the final part of the season, but may return to the field before the matches of the Ukrainian national team in selection of Euro-2020 against Serbia (June 7) and Luxembourg (June 10).
