Oleksandr Babich: "The door to the Europa League for Mariupol is not closed yet"

The second finalist of the Cup of Ukraine of the 2019/2020 season was Poltava's Vorskla, which in a series of post-match penalties took the mountain over "Mariupol".

- It's a pity that we didn't make it to the final again, - Azov head coach Oleksandr Babych said in a comment to the official UAF website. - There are no draws in a cup tournament, and in the football lottery, as the series of post-match penalties is called, the lucky ticket went to Vorskla. I have no complaints to the wards about self-sacrifice, the only thing missing is the second goal scored.

One of the leaders, Valery Fedorchuk, could not help Mariupol due to disqualification, and in the second half Serhiy Yavorsky and Dmytro Mishnev, who were no less experienced, did not escape injuries, which also had a negative effect on our team actions. However, this is football, Vorskla also had losses.

Of course, we are very disappointed. It is important to analyze everything carefully, draw the right conclusions and move forward. The door to the Europa League for "Mariupol" is not closed yet, only now we will try to break into the international arena through the playoffs.
