Five replacements

The UEFA Executive Committee has decided to maintain the rule of five substitutions in all matches of the UEFA League of Nations, women's Euro qualifiers, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women's Champions League and European qualifiers until the end of this season. This decision was made in order to reduce the burden on players in the conditions of compaction of the national team calendar in the 2020/2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a result, the number of players allowed in the match application will be increased to 23 (if it was not from the beginning).

Special events for Euro 2020 head-to-head matches

In connection with the pandemic COVID-19 were approved special events for Euro 2020 head-to-head matches, the results of which will determine the final composition of the participants of the final stage. Previously, similar events were developed for other tournaments.

Of course, the red thread through the agenda of the meeting were various aspects of football life in the conditions imposed by the pandemic COVID-19. It was a pleasure to hear from representatives of national associations of other countries compliments to the UAF on the successful completion of the championship and Cup of Ukraine in the 2019/2020 season on a sporting basis and the return of fans to the stands where the epidemiological situation allows.

Let me remind you that the prospect of returning the spectators to the stands in the matches of the Champions League, Europa League and League of Nations will depend on the success of holding today's match for the UEFA Super Cup in a test mode with the fans. Therefore, I very much hope for a decline in diseases in Ukraine and wish everyone good health and the opportunity to return spectators to international matches as soon as possible!
