National team with 25 players travels to Poland

On Tuesday morning, the Ukrainian national team left the cozy Kyiv Opera Hotel.

The night before, seven Ukrainian footballers playing abroad, who due to late flights did not have time for the first training session at the training camp, passed PCR tests immediately upon arrival. These are Roman Yaremchuk, Eduard Sobol and Bohdan Mykhailichenko, Yevhen Cheberko, Ihor Kharatin and Oleksandr Zubkov as well as Ruslan Malinovskii. Prior to the results, this group had a separate dinner from the rest of the team.

Fortunately, the results of all seven were negative, so all the guys came to breakfast at the same time. It will be recalled that Denys Popov's morning test turned out to be positive yesterday, after which he did not cross paths with anyone from the national team, going to self-isolation. Viktor Korniyenko and Artem Kravets will also not be able to help the team due to injuries.

Thus, 25 players went to Boryspil International Airport with negative PCR results.

The blue-yellow charter is scheduled to depart for Katowice at 11.30. Upon arrival, Ukrainians will stay at the Vienna House Easy Katowice.

Pre-match activities are planned for tonight at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzow, where a friendly Poland-Ukraine game will take place tomorrow.

At 18.30 pm Kyiv time, Andrii Shevchenko and one of the team's players will give a press conference for the media, only a small part of which will be present in the conference hall, adhering to the social distance. Most, including all Ukrainian journalists, none of whom dared to take a risky trip during the COVID-19 pandemic, will be able to ask their questions via Zoom.

At 19.00 in Kyiv, the blue-and-yellows will start the official training, the first 15 minutes of which are open to the media.
