Ruslan Malinovsky: "We do not need to be afraid of England, but we need to go out and carry out the plan for the game"

A press conference of the players of the national team of Ukraine Ruslan Malinovsky and Roman Yaremchuk was held in Rome today, dedicated to the match of the 1/4 finals of Euro 2020 with the team of England, which will take place on July 3.

Here are the answers to Ruslan Malinowski's questions.

- The national team of Ukraine has already completed the tasks at the tournament, maybe now you can play without the burden of responsibility for the result?

- I do not agree with the statement that we no longer have tasks. In the last theoretical lesson, the head coach stressed that we should not fly in the clouds and say that we have already achieved something. We have already seen at this tournament that anything is possible in football. We are preparing for the game very seriously, focused.

England is a very good team that plays fast football. But we have already played against France, Germany, Spain, we have experience of such matches. We do not need to be afraid, but we need to follow the plan for the game. If we follow the plan as much as possible and show full dedication, I think we will be able to achieve the result.

- Will it be easier for you to play on Saturday, given that you are underdogs in this confrontation?

- Yes, England is the favorite of our match, so there will be more pressure on it than on us.

- Andriy Yarmolenko showed a great game in the match against the Netherlands. Is he ready to physically play the same way on Saturday?

- Yarmolenko had little playing time this season. Andrew is a real captain, for him the game with England will be special, it is a great chance for him to prove what he is worth.
