News from the camp of the Ukrainian national team: the team held a pre-match training session at the Hampden Park stadium in Glasgow

Today, before lunch, the blue-and-yellow team had a tactical session - separately for the defensive and offensive units. And already in the evening what the coaches said should have been implemented in practice - in game series.

22 players took part in the evening session. Vitaliy Mykolenko and Viktor Kovalenko missed training due to injuries. Both have minor damage to the adductor muscle. Vitaliy, who felt discomfort in the 80th minute of the match for Everton, but still played to the end, went around the field with the ball several times today, and then watched the work of his partners along with massage therapists and doctors. Viktor Kovalenko also felt pain in his leg while playing for the club, and yesterday he sprained his leg during training in the national team — the midfielder did not complete this sesion. Therefore, Kovalenko stayed in the hotel today. He will have an MRI tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury. Be that as it may, both Mykolenko and Kovalenko will not be able to play tomorrow, but they expect to recover before the next match.

In the meantime, the rest of the boys are preparing for the game and are doing their best to embody the spirit that our heroes at the front convey to the Ukrainian nation, liberating one of our cities and villages after another. The players constantly emphasize that the defenders of our state motivate them to give all their strength on the football pitch. Despite the large number of injured, the national team assures that tomorrow they are ready to play both for themselves and for those boys who, due to injuries and disqualifications, will not be able to take part in the match with Scotland, in order to give our soldiers and all Ukrainians at least a few hours of positive mood.
