Poltava "Vorskla" became the winner of the Cup of Ukraine-2023 among women's teams

In the final match of the draw Cup of Ukraine-2023 among women the two best teams of the previous championship of Ukraine - "Vorskla" and "Kryvbas" - met at the Lviv "SKIF" stadium.

Poltava reached the decisive stage as the current holders of the trophy, but the team from Kryvyi Rih played in the final match for the first time in history.

In the 40th minute, Andruhiv put Vorskla ahead with a cool free kick. In the opening of the second half, she scored a double from Podolska's pass. At the end of the match, "Kryvbas" remained in the minority, which only simplified the task for the opponents, who kept the advantage - 2:0.

So "Vorskla" won the Ukrainian Cup for the fourth time in a row and the fourth time in its own history (although, in the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 seasons, the team won the trophy under the name "Zhytlobud-2").

We would like to add that the winners of the Cup of Ukraine among women's teams were nine clubs. "Zhytlobud-11" from Kharkiv is leading with 1 titles. The trophy was also won by "Donechchanka" (Donetsk), "Legenda" (Chernihiv), "Vorskla" (Poltava)/"Zhytlobud-2" (Kharkiv) - four times each, "Metalist" (Kharkiv), "Alina" (Kyiv) — two each, "Naftokhimik" (Kalush), "Dynamo" (Kyiv), "Arena" (Kyiv/Fastiv) — once each.
