Defender of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Karavaev spoke about the beginning of preparations for the March matches.

Yesterday blue and yellow overcame a long way from Ukraine to Marbella, and also conducted recovery training. Oleksandr Karavaev shared his impressions of the beginning of the preparatory process.

"22 hours on the road? We always go somewhere, we're already used to it. You get on the train, talk for three or four hours, eat something, then go to bed. You get up at 4 in the morning, passports are checked, then you go to bed again for an hour. Then a bus, a plane, a bus again - everything as usual.

After the journey, it is not recommended to go to bed to rest. After such a tiring road, you must do jogging, squares, that is, physical exercises. You have worked for an hour - and you can recover.

I have been repeating for more than eight years that when you come to the national team, there is a very good, fun and positive atmosphere here, because we are one family. We always look forward to the gathering, both in terms of sports and achieving success, and in terms of communication with guys we haven't seen for a long time, usually those who play abroad. They are currently not in the location, but they will arrive soon, and the emotions will be even greater.

Of course, everyone wants to play. The best gather here, and everyone competes with each other," Oleksandr Karavaev said.

As a reminder, the semi-final match of the Euro-2024 qualification play-off between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine will take place on March 21 in the city of Zenica and will start at 21:45 Kyiv time.
