Following the first league championship of Ukraine, the spring part of the season will start on March 22 in the third-ranked division. Today at 14:00 the confrontation between the leader, "Zvyagel", and "Kremen-2" will begin.
Tomorrow, "Rukh-2" will host "Trostianets", and on March 24, the matches "Real Pharma" - "YUKSA", "Druzhba" - "Lokomotiv", "Skala 1911" - "Niva" will take place.
"Metalurg-2" decided to stop participating in the championship due to financial difficulties.
We will remind that the winner of the competition is promoted in the class, and the teams that finish in the second and third places will play transitional matches with the clubs that will take the 17th and 16th places in the first league.
According to experts, the main struggle for leading positions will unfold between "Zvyagel", FC "YUKSA", "Druzhba" and "Chaika".
During the winter break, head coach Serhiy Shishchenko and top scorer Denys Ndukwe left the team from Zhytomyr Oblast to join elite Polissia. At the helm of the "townsmen" in the coming months will be Mykola Hybaliuk, who is counting on the latest March newcomers - legionnaires Wendell from Brazil, Borel Tomandzoto from the Congo and Norwegian George Lewis, who has experience playing for the English "Arsenal" U-23.
But "YUKSA" was strengthened by several more legionnaires, and now there are already six of them in the team. They are unknown to a wide circle of fans, but they dream, together with other wards of Mykola Tsymbal, to be in the spotlight.
"Niva" football players spent all stages of training in Vinnytsia, at their new training base. However, they played all the sparring matches on the artificial surface, winning, in particular, over the first league "Mariupol" - 4:2. Let's see how the Podolians will perform on the grass lawn.
