Roman Yaremchuk: "You need to prove it every time, score goals and bring benefit to the team"

The striker of the Ukrainian national team, Roman Yaremchuk, was recognized by the fans as the "Lion of the match" - the best player of the Euro-2024 qualification play-off match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Yesterday, in the semi-finals of the Euro-2024 qualification play-offs, the blue-yellow team won a strong-willed victory over the Bosnians — 2:1. The fans called Roman Yaremchuk the "Lion of the match", who after coming on as a substitute scored a goal and made an assist.

"Of course, it's very nice, thanks to the fans. It must be continued and hopefully not the last time. It is necessary to prove every time, score goals and bring benefit to the team.

It was difficult to get into the game. But it's good that everything ended like this. Glad to go to Poland in a good mood and prepare for the next match. I think there will be enough time for recovery. We are all professionals, we only look ahead," said Roman Yaremchuk.

We will remind you that now our team will play for a ticket to Euro-2024 with the Iceland national team, which in the other semi-final passed Israel. The match will take place on March 26 at the Tarczyński Arena Wroclaw stadium in Wroclaw, Poland, and will start at 20:45 local time (21:45 Kyiv time).
