Georgy Sudakov: "This will be a special Euro for me, and I'm already incredibly looking forward to it"

Midfielder of the Ukrainian national team Heorhiy Sudakov commented on our team's entry into the final part of Euro-2024 after the victory in the playoff qualification final over Iceland (2:1).

"I left all my emotions on the field, and now, after the game, there is only fatigue and incredible pride for our country, for our team. It's even hard to put into words.

Am I the hero of the match? If it weren't for such performers as Mykhailo Mudryk and Viktor Tsygankov, I probably wouldn't have had the chance to make these assists. We must give credit to them. I don't think about my performance, although it is very nice, but first of all I give my all to the team. I am incredibly happy that we won!

You can say that in the match against Iceland, we played like at home, in our stands, when 30 thousand fans push you forward. And it adds incredible confidence, if you are so supported. It was more difficult on the road against Bosnia. I can only thank the fans for such an atmosphere. Today we really showed, probably not in the first half, but in the second, what we are capable of and what the Ukrainian national team is.   

It will be a special Euro for me, and I am already incredibly looking forward to it. I think we have every chance to get out of the group. We already know our opponents and will prepare. Now, of course, we move on to the matches of the championship of Ukraine, to our club, and then all thoughts will be about the Euro," said Georgy Sudakov.
