A working meeting on arbitration in the UPL was held in the House of Football

On April 2, a working meeting was held in the House of Football on the initiative of the Ukrainian Football Association with the participation of the leadership of the UAF and UPL and representatives of UPL football clubs.

The meeting was attended by UAF vice-president Oleksandr Shevchenko, UAF general secretary Ihor Hryshchenko, head of the referees' committee Kateryna Monzul, head of the professional football committee Oleg Luzhnyi, acting UPL president Yevhen Dykiy and representatives of UPL clubs.

During the meeting, innovations in the Ukrainian arbitration system were discussed. In particular, the participants of the meeting talked about the mechanism of applying the lottery system during the appointment of referees for the matches of the championship of Ukraine. We will remind that the test test of this system took place during appointment of arbitrators at the match of the 1/2 finals of the Cup of Ukraine. In order to implement such a system in UPL matches, among other things, it is necessary to abandon the regional principle of appointing referees. The representatives of the clubs understood such a proposal.

Club representatives were also informed that within the framework of the Ukrainian arbitration reform, polygraph testing was applied to individual representatives of the refereeing corps.

In addition, the leaders of the UPL clubs again returned to the conversation about the creation of a fund for bonus payments to the best referees at the end of the season and at the same time expressed their full confidence in the Committee of Referees of the UAF.
