The beach soccer team of Ukraine has started the selection stage of the Euroleague 2018

In the start of the first qualifying round of the Euroleague 2018 in Baku, Ukraine's beach soccer team defeated the Swiss team 5: 4.

Switzerland - Ukraine - 4: 5

Goals: Borer (2), Ott (2) - Sidorenko, Medvid, Korniychuk (3).

Switzerland: Stalder, V. Jaggi, Borer, Werder, Mitsev, Spakka, M. Jaggi, Stankovic, Ott, Hoddle. 

Ukraine: Sidorenko, Gladchenko, Voytok, Makeev, Borsuk, Pachev, Medvid, Korniychuk, Hlutsky, Shcherytsya.

Yevgeny Varenytsia's warders started their match in the Baku Euroleague qualifying round against Switzerland. In the second minute of the game, Alexander Korniychuk signed at the Swiss goal. However, the opponent did not take off and in the first period not only regained his balance, but also came forward at the expense of Philip Borer's take. 

In the second period, the Swiss team responded to the goals of Dmytro Medvid and Oleksandr Korniychuk with the ball of Noel Otto - 3: 3. In the third part of the game, the blue and yellows made a breakthrough again. First, the goal was scored by our goalkeeper Vitaliy Sydorenko, and five minutes later Oleksandr Korniychuk scored a hat-trick in this match. All the Swiss managed to do was reduce the gap after Noel Otto's strike again. So, 5: 4 - Ukraine defeated the seventh team in the world rankings. 

In the second match in our group, the Italian national team defeated the German team 3-0. So, after the first day of the competition, Ukraine and Italy have three points each, and Germany and Switzerland have none. 

Tomorrow the wards of Evgeny Varenytsa will play with the Italians. Meeting starts at 16:15 Kyiv time.
