Premier League: Vorskla's first win of the season, Zori's next loss
In the 3rd round of the Premier League, last season's bronze medalist, Poltava's Vorskla, scored the first points thanks to the victory over FC Lviv. Instead, another representative of Ukraine in the Europa League, Zorya, lost points, failing to beat Chornomorets.
Although Vorskla was nominally considered the host of the field, the game with Lviv took place at Arena Lviv due to the fact that the home stadium of Poltava is preparing for the matches of the group round of the Europa League.
Vorskla's victory was brought about by successful substitutions from Vasyl Sachko: Karek scored from Gabelko's pass. Both players appeared on the field in the second half, and the Brazilian author of the goal generally played the first game for Poltava. A wonderful match was played by the goalkeeper of Vorskla, a pupil of Lviv football Bohdan Shust, who parried a penalty from Bruno.
In another Saturday match, Zorya failed to overcome the resistance of Chornomorets. Rafael scored after a corner, but Savchenko restored the balance with a direct free kick. The player of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Karavayev played the whole match for Zorya.
Three more matches of the 3rd round will take place tomorrow.
