Today Dynamo Kyiv will start the season for Ukraine in the UEFA Champions League

This participation in the qualifying tournament of the Champions League will be for Dynamo Kyiv for the 21st time in its history.

Dynamo will play the first match of the third qualifying round of the Champions League in Prague, against local Slavia. The game at Eden Arena Stadium will start at 20.30 Kyiv time.

If we recall Dynamo's previous attempts to overcome the qualifying sieve and get into the Champions League group, it is worth noting that 14 of them were successful. Six teams did not allow the white and blues to the elite club ("Barcelona", "Rapid", "Tun", "Ajax", "Ruby" and "Young Boys").

We will add that the return match in Kyiv will take place on August 14. The match at the NSC "Olympic" will begin at 19.30.

Yesterday during of the draw it became known that the winner of the pair "Slavia" - "Dynamo" in the playoffs of the Champions League will play with the winner of the pair "Standard" (Belgium) - "Ajax" (Holland).
