WU-17: Ukraine's national team wins the Euro 2019 qualifier with a victory
In the last round of the selection stage, Valery Palamarchuk's wards confidently beat the Faroe Islands team.
After the defeat of peers from Denmark (0:4) and the Czech Republic (0:2) Ukrainian women had almost no chance of reaching the elite round. However, in the last match in the group, the blue and yellows managed to win a convincing victory.
Alina Godunko from the Kostopil team "Family-Lyceum" opened the score in the match with the Faroe Islands. Nadiya Salivonchyk (Rodina-Lyceum) and Lyudmyla Kunina (Lviv-Yantarochka), who came on as substitutes, as well as Oleksandra Krevska (Ladomyr) scored in the second half.
Having won three points, Ukraine's national team ranked third in the group and, unfortunately, dropped out of the fight.

According to the rules, the winners of the groups, the winners of the second places and the four best third teams (according to the results of the matches with the first and second teams of their groups) will join Spain and Germany in the elite round. The draw for this stage will take place on November 23, and the matches will take place at the end of March 2019. It is already known that our team will not get into the top four third teams.
