Rival for Euro 2020. Valdas Urbonas became the head coach of the Lithuanian national team

The Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) has officially announced that Valdas Urbonas has become the head coach of the Lithuanian national team.

The 51-year-old began his coaching career in 2003. The first club where Urbonas worked as head coach was Ekranas from Panevezys in 2008, with which he won five championships. In 2008, 2011 and 2012, Urbonas was recognized as the best coach in Lithuania. Since June last year, he has headed Vilnius's Zalgiris, which he officially left on Friday. In addition, Lithuanian "Trakai" and Latvian "Spartak" appear in the coaching career of the specialist. 

Recall that the Lithuanian national team in the Euro-2020 qualifying tournament will play in the same group with Ukraine, Portugal, Serbia and Luxembourg.
