Futsal Ukraine youth team failed to escape defeat in match with Serbia

In preparation for the main round of the European Championship 2019, Vitaliy Odegov's wards held the first sparring against Serbian peers.

The first sparring of the national teams of Ukraine and Serbia in U-19 futsal took place in Vrane. The Blue and Yellows lost 4: 5, although they were close to the comeback.

In the 4th minute, the guests were brought forward by Hovakimyan, scoring with the goalkeeper. However, during the first half, Serbia managed to gain a comfortable advantage. In the 6th minute, Rosich scored a double, taking advantage of the mistakes of the Ukrainians, and soon the Balkans scored twice more.

In the second half of the match, Vitaly Odegov's wards regularly played with five field players, which bore fruit. Turned in the 34th and 36th minutes reduced the gap to a minimum, our team had a chance to win back. However, in the 38th minute, the same Zavertany hit the post, after which Petrovich sent the ball into the empty net of the national team of Ukraine. The final score of the meeting at the last minute was set by Belan.

On Saturday, the youth teams of Ukraine and Serbia will hold a second friendly match (starting at 19.00 Kyiv time).

We will remind that the youth team of Ukraine continues preparation for Main Round selection matches for Euro 2019 (U-19). Our team is in Group 4, where its rivals will be Macedonia, Romania and Belgium. Quartet matches will host Macedonia on March 26-29 this year.
