Premier League: Dynamo not let Shakhtar go further, but lost Fran Sol

The 20th round of the Ukrainian Premier League started today with two matches with the participation of the championship leaders.

Dynamo, which had a great start to the spring part of the season, after passing Olympiacos in the Europa League and defeating "Dawn" in the domestic championship, today won another victory, but suffered personnel losses. Kyiv coach Oleksandr Hatskevich had to solve the same task in the meeting with Desna that he will face in the game with London Chelsea next Thursday, who will replace Benjamin Verbyč (the Slovenian midfielder has been disqualified for both matches). Contrary to expectations, the flanking players of Dynamo remained out of the squad, Sydorchuk appeared among the first 11, and Shaparenko took over the functions of Verbych to some extent.

The White and Blues opened the scoring in the middle of the first half. Kendzora, who scored his only goal in the championship to date, scored against Desna, again upset Chernihiv. Tsygankov executed a corner, and after a ricochet from the player of the hosts Partzvaniya Tomasz hit the goal with a powerful blow. Just before the break, Fran Sol injured his shoulder and was replaced. The degree of damage to the Dynamo striker will be known after a medical examination, and Kyiv and Rusyn finished off on the edge of the attack.

In the second half, Kendzor added an assist to the goal, helping Buyalsky to score his first goal in the current championship, but Kyiv was not destined to calmly bring the match to victory. Tsygankov was close to success, but hit the post from the penalty spot, and then Boyko was injured in a collision with Desna forward Serhiychuk and was able to continue the game only after receiving medical treatment. Soon the hosts played one ball, taking advantage of the failure of Dynamo in the center of defense, but to achieve more wards Alexander Ryabokon failed.

The match was attended by players whom Andrey Shevchenko summoned in the last 2018 collection of blue and yellows: Boyko, Mykolenko, Burda, Buyalsky (goal replaced by 90 + 2 minutes), Tsygankov, Shaparenko.

Shakhtar, which is after farewell to the Europa League can already focus on domestic competitions, held his fight later. In Odessa, the miners dealt with an outsider, "Chernomorets", but not without effort. Odessans, who look much more confident in the spring than in the first part of the season, have already managed to beat Lviv, were worthy of resistance. The hosts were defensively defending, and Goshkoder once even in the first half even forced Pyatov to jump to threaten the goal.

But the sailors did not keep the draw. Icelandic Wilhamsson, who became the first representative of his country in the Ukrainian championship, failed to enter the game. Replacing Black at the 70th minute, the Odessa resident soon broke the rules in his penalty area, knocking down Bolbat. Marlos did not falter from the 11-meter mark.

Shakhtar players from Andriy Shevchenko's last "call-up" were involved in the game: Pyatov, Bolbat, Kryvtsov (yellow card), Stepanenko, Kovalenko (substituted in the 85th minute).
