Head coach of the Ukrainian beach soccer team Yevhen Varenytsa told about the team's upcoming plans

The coach of the Ukrainian beach soccer team Yevhen Varenytsia spoke about the future preparation of his wards for selection for the World Beach Games in San Diego, USA.

The first big tournament that awaits our beachgoers will be the selection for the World Beach Games in the United States. The stage will take place in Spain from May 4 to 12. The final part of the games will take place in San Diego on October 9-14. 

"In preparation for the selection in Spain, we plan to hold two training camps. The first will take place on March 30 - April 7 in Ivano-Frankivsk, and the second - in about two weeks in Baku. Before each meeting, the team will train in Kyiv for three days. This is the best option for us, because there are no better conditions for training the national team in Ukraine than in Ivano-Frankivsk. As for Baku, there is a state-of-the-art arena for beach soccer, there is an excellent base, and the climatic conditions in Azerbaijan at this time of year are appropriate. Currently, an agreement has been reached with the Beach Soccer Federation of Azerbaijan to hold three friendly matches with the national team of this country. This is a team that is ideal for us as a sparring partner. We will agree on the exact time of the control matches later, "said Yevhen Varenytsia.

"During the Ukrainian training camp, I plan to involve 15 field players and three goalkeepers, and 10-11 field players and two goalkeepers will take part in the Azerbaijani training camp. Unfortunately, it is already known that three key players of the national team of Ukraine will not be able to go to the training camp. Brothers Ihor and Andriy Borsuky and the team's most productive player, Oleksandr Korniychuk, will currently play in futsal tournaments. I hope that they will be able to help us in June at the ΙΙ European Games in Minsk.

The situation with the rejuvenation of the national team is not optimistic either. At the moment, there is simply no one among the young people who could strengthen our team. Therefore, only proven experienced players will gather in Ivano-Frankivsk and Baku. This is a big problem that concerns not only Ukraine. I reviewed the lineups of several leading national teams in the world, the situation is the same there, "said the coach.
