Dnipro-1 head coach Dmytro Mykhaylenko commented winning their wards in the cup confronting with Poltava "Vorskla" (2: 0):

- A comfortable final score should not be misleading. Vorskla footballers put up stubborn resistance. The first half in our performance was very passive, we did not succeed in the attack, the guests easily guessed our plans. After the break we managed to establish team actions, we began to dictate the conditions. It was felt that the fate of the match can be decided by one goal scored. A well-played combination allowed us to go ahead, we started to play on the score, paying more attention to defense. The second goal of Vorskla started with a simple removal of the ball by our goalkeeper Yurchuk, and after that it was possible to remove the question of the winner from the agenda.

Of course, I should pay tribute to my wards for their dedication. It is important that we managed to predict well how events will unfold on the field. In particular, we felt that Vladislav Shapoval, coming on as a substitute, would be able to strengthen the game. And they didn't lose - he was the accomplice of two goals scored.
