Beach national football team defeats Azerbaijan team in first control match in Baku

Yevhen Varenytsa's team won the first control match with Azerbaijan national team in Baku. 

In preparation for the qualifying round of the World Beach Games in the United States, the Ukrainian beach soccer team is holding a weekly training camp in Baku. During the training camp, three friendly matches with the Azerbaijani team are planned. 

Today, the blue and yellows held the first of them. The fight in it was fierce, but still the Ukrainians managed to snatch victory - 4: 3. Oleh Zborovskyi scored a double in our team, Oleksandr Korniychuk and Ivan Hlutskyi scored on the ball. The next friendly match between the national teams of Azerbaijan and Ukraine is scheduled for Thursday, April 18.

Meanwhile, the European qualification draw for the World Beach Games in San Diego took place in Barcelona. The draw for the blue-yellows turned out to be a bit curious. In the 1/8 finals, the national team of Ukraine will play ... with the same team of Azerbaijan. The match will take place on May 9. 

If successful in the 1/8 in the quarterfinals, the wards of Eugene Varenitsa will play with the winner of the pair Russia - Norway.
