Premier League: Play-off matches held

Today, Kolos decided the fate of the confrontation with Chornomorets in their favor, and the match between Karpaty and Volyn was not completed.

Because both the first transition bouts ended without scoring goals, contenders for places in the elite division kept relatively equal chances of final victory. Some advantage was on the side of the teams that played in the end of the season, in the first league, as they played return matches in their stadiums.

Unlike the games that took place four days ago and in which the rivals acted too cautiously, today's meetings seemed more open and eventful. In particular, in Kovalivka, three 11-meter shots were awarded to Chornomorets. The first of them, performed by Lysenko, the goalkeeper of Odessa Litovchenko parried, but the other two were realized by Gavrish. The "sailors" had several opportunities to score in response, but they wasted them. In particular, Goshkoderya hit the post from close range. There was a 15-minute break in the second half of the game: the referee was forced to suspend the match due to a mess in the away stands.

The confrontation between the groups representing the Western region of Ukraine also seemed emotional. The guests opened the score in Lutsk: Klotz scored a direct free kick. But even before the break, ex-Karpaty player Kozhanov regained his balance, hitting his head accurately from Tsyup's pass. In the second half, Lutsk had a chance to take the lead, but Bartulovich hit the crossbar. Then the hosts remained in the minority due to the removal of Siminin, and soon their goal was assigned to the 11-meter, which realized Ponde. In stoppage time, Miroshnichenko scored 1: 3, and then the referee stopped the game due to inappropriate behavior of the fans. The match was never resumed. 

The composition of the participants of the Ukrainian Premier League championship next season should be determined on June 12, when there will be a general meeting participants of UPL.
