The Presidents of the Football Associations of Ukraine and Lithuania discussed the issue of fight against the match
Today, September 6, representatives of the Ukrainian Football Association and the Lithuanian Football Federation held a working meeting in Vilnius to combat match-fixing.
The UAF and LFF Presidents Andriy Pavelko and Thomas Danilyavicius, the UAF First Vice-President Nazar Kholodnytsky, the LFF Secretary General Edgaras Stankevicius, the Chairman of the Ethics Committee Baranka, Ihor Hryshchenko, Director of the UAF Legal Department, Ramune Bystrykaite, LFF Fair Play Officer, and police.

"Colleagues from the Ukrainian Football Association have considerable experience in combating threats to fair play, so we invited them to an official meeting. We have heard valuable information from our guests and will try to apply the best practices in our country as much as possible. Thank you to all the guests who came, I am glad that we have a good relationship with the UAF, as well as a wonderful personal relationship with its President Andriy Pavelko, "said LFF President Thomas Daniliavicius.

In turn, Andriy Pavelko thanked his Lithuanian colleagues for the invitation and noted the readiness of the UAF to develop cooperation and further exchange of experience in such an important issue as the fight against contract matches. “We are pleased to note that our work to eradicate the infamous practice of matchfixing is successful, and the experience gained and tools gained are of interest to our foreign partners, in particular, our good friends from the Lithuanian Football Federation. UAF is happy to share its experience and is open to productive communication in this and other important areas for the development of football. I am sincerely grateful to my colleague, the president of the LFF and the best scorer in the history of the Lithuanian national team, Tomas Danilavičius, for a productive working meeting. We are always happy to cooperate with you and appreciate the long-term friendship and partnership of our associations and our states, "said the President of the Ukrainian Football Association after the meeting.
