Champions League. Shakhtar have drawn a successful draw with Dynamo Zagreb in Kharkiv

Based on the tournament position, it was the Croatian club that appeared to be the Pitmen's main competitor in the fight for the playoffs, so the result of the match became extremely important.

On the eve of the game, there were some concerns about the condition of one of Shakhtar's key players, Ismaili, but the team's left-back Luis Kashtru was in the starting lineup. From the very beginning, both teams, which usually like to attack a lot, competed for the initiative. In the first half of the first half, the hosts looked more dangerous ahead, in which Konoplyanka bravely took the game. Eugene managed to score the first ball, breaking into the center of the penalty area and getting a verified pass on the move from Marlos.

But the Croats also had a lot ahead of them, and it didn't take them long to level the playing field. Olmo, who was not followed by Kryvtsov and Matvienko, successfully responded to Orshich's flank pass. At the end of the first 45 minutes, the Pitmen made several incomprehensible losses of the ball in the middle of the field, which almost led to new troubles.

In the 50th minute, Orsic finished the pass from his own half of the field with a shot into the post, and after a second shot from Olmo, the ball was pulled out from under the crossbar by Pyatov. Uncertainty, which manifested itself in the actions of Donetsk in the second half, resulted in a foul by Pyatov against Gavranovich, who did not go unnoticed by the referee. Orsic made no mistake from the 11-meter. 1: 2. Sensing that the team was hooked, Luis Castro made a double substitution, which worked. Dodo, who entered the game instead of Bolbat, equalized after a pass from depth from Alan Patrick.

The Pitmen took part in the match with the players who were called up for the October national team of Ukraine: Pyatov (yellow card), Bolbat (yellow card, replaced in the 66th minute), Kryvtsov, Matvienko, Stepanenko, Marlos (goalkeeper, replaced 84 minutes), Konoplyanka (goal replaced by 66 minutes), Moraes, Kovalenko (replaced by 84 minutes).

The Pitmen will play their next Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb on November 6.
