UAF President visited the bases of the national teams of the Netherlands and Belgium

On March 3-4, a UAF delegation led by President Andriy Pavelko paid a working visit to the training bases of the national teams of the two countries.

The main purpose of the trip is to study the experience and obtain information on the construction and operation of sports facilities in preparation for the presentation of the project and the start of construction of a base for national teams of Ukraine in the village of Knyazhychi, near Kiev.

Andriy Pavelko announced the start of design work and the presentation of the base construction project earlier this year. The emergence of such a base for many years was just a dream for generations of national football players, but in the near future it will become a reality. And the experience of other associations in this matter is extremely important. Together with the President of the UAF, the first vice-presidents of the UAF, Oleg Protasov and Vadym Kostyuchenko, as well as specialists directly involved in the development of the construction project took advantage of the invitation of the associations of the Netherlands and Belgium to get acquainted with the history of construction and life of national teams.

According to Andriy Pavelko, in both Amsterdam and Brussels, UAF representatives received a lot of useful information. "Bases are very different, built at different times, and each has its own characteristics, worthy of attention. I am grateful for the invitation from our colleagues and good friends from the national associations, whose teams are now part of the cohort of the strongest on the continent, to get acquainted with the functioning of the bases. The experience of building and operating training bases of European grandees is extremely valuable for the Ukrainian Football Association. It is necessary to be guided in such an important issue and take into account the positive example of the best of the best, "the UAF President stressed.

During his visit to the base in Belgium, Andriy Pavelko also met with the head coach of the national team of this country Roberto Martinez, in whom he exchanged impressions on the results of the draw of the League of Nations 2020-2021. "We return to Ukraine with important experience that we can use in building our own modern and comfortable base of national teams with everything necessary for the quality preparation of teams for new historical achievements," - summed up the president of the Ukrainian Football Association.
