In the first quarterfinal match of the Cup of Ukraine, Zakarpattia's Minai beat Petrov's Ingulets in a penalty shootout.

A representative of the lower division was guaranteed to advance to the semifinals of the Cup of Ukraine - two teams of the first league met in the match in Minai. Both claim promotion. It is worth noting that the rivals held the first official game of the second part of the season.

In the starting 45 minutes, Minai and Ingulets played on equal terms, there was a lot of struggle. The first good moment arose for the guests when Mishurenko scored above the goal. A little later, the referee canceled Nuriev's goal due to offside, but in the 30th minute, the Transcarpathians still took the lead. During the counterattack, the ball on the left flank was picked up by Pinyashko, who aimed at the post, but managed to finish off the Verb. Closer to the break, passions flared up on the field, which resulted in five yellow cards in the first half.

Shortly after the break, the guests managed to equalize the score - Mishurenko scored after a throw from the right. However, in the future, for the entire second half, the initiative was taken over by Minai. Shots by Orynchak and Nuriev were dangerous, which Shust coped with, while Petrivtsi punched past the goal.

In the 78th minute, Fateev saw a straight red card in front of him, significantly complicating the task for Ingulets. Zakarpattia was close to the second goal, and the most realistic moment before the end of regular time after the corner was lost by Tkachuk, who scored inaccurately with a shot through himself.

Overtime passed with a clear advantage of the hosts - Shust saved after Zhychikov's shots, it is worth noting Nuriyev's blocked shot. Recall the withdrawal of both teams shortly before the end of the 30-minute, as well as the unused chance of Sichinava in the last seconds.

The penalty shootout was better for Ingulets, but Popovych saved the hosts after Kvasny's attempt. He also won the duel of goalkeepers with Shust - this 11-meter was decisive. As a result, Minai reached the semifinals of the Cup of Ukraine for the first time in history.
