Address of the president of Ukrainian Association of football
Dear fans, football players, coaches and the whole football community of Ukraine!
Unfortunately, the latest news coming from different regions of Ukraine and the world are disappointing. Despite the heroic efforts of physicians, the international community and leaders of different countries, COVID-19 is rapidly expanding.
As a result, the duration of quarantine in our state has been extended for a long period. The need for such measures, despite all their unpleasant limitations to our daily lives with you, is obvious. After all, this is the only way to minimize the risk of mass infection, which poses serious threats to the health and lives of many people. And life and health are the greatest value, which in this situation we have no right to neglect.

We all understand perfectly well that this period is extremely difficult both for Ukrainian football and for European football in general. Its consequences in the future will also be severe. Particularly unpleasant is the uncertainty we have had to face, as no one currently knows how long the pandemic will last and what its final scale will be. But it is in the power of each of us to make the winners of the extremely difficult duel with COVID-19.

The first is to follow the basic recommendations of doctors that will help minimize the risk of disease. Secondly, it is a possible help to those who are now at the forefront in the fight against the terrible virus - our brave doctors, in particular, transport, personal protection kits and so on. In addition, it is a concern for our elderly football veterans who need it, all over Ukraine. I am extremely grateful to the regional football associations, which joined the UAF initiative and have already organized operational headquarters to provide assistance to those who need it. We continue to work together in this important area. Caution, responsibility and care must be the basis of our life in quarantine. Only under this condition will we remain healthy, strong and victorious in the battle with the disease.

We will definitely solve the rest of the problems when the main threat recedes. Also together and as united team! And together we will enjoy interesting football moments at our stadiums, together we will be pleased with the new victories of Ukrainian clubs and national teams!
