UEFA GROW: replenishment of the Ukrainian football family

The first year of implementation of the UEFA Grow pilot project, which is jointly implemented by the UAF and the football associations of Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv regions, proved that times have finally changed.

More than 3000 girls of all ages have joined the Ukrainian football family, learning and seeing in practice that football is something that is interesting, joyful and truly exciting.

In order to increase girls' opportunities to play at the grassroots level and in open and convenient access at the regional level, the UEFA GROW project has developed and successfully launched the #OurGame project, which brings together a number of initiatives. One of them is regular (at least once a month) football festivals for junior high school students (in cities, towns, villages). Participants have the opportunity to attend additional classes in the sections for girls, which now operate in parallel with the boys.
