Mykola Kostenko, Ukraine beach soccer team coach: The guys are ready to start preparing for the new season

The head coach of the Ukrainian beach soccer team Mykola Kostenko spoke about the plans of the blue and yellows after the performance in the Euroleague Super Final.

Recall that that in the Superfinal of the Euroleague 2020, the national team of Ukraine in beach soccer took third place. The head coach of our team Mykola Kostenko commented on the further plans of Ukrainians this year. 

"After the last - victorious - match in the Superfinal with the French, the mood of the guys is high. The match added a positive, and our players rush into battle. They are now ready to begin preparations for next season. However, the World Beach Soccer Organization will hold the last tournament this year - the World Cup among club teams, and after that all competitions will be completed. There was supposed to be an Intercontinental Cup, but it is postponed, according to the latest data, to February 2021. That is, no international beach soccer tournaments will be held until then. But we talked to UAF President Andriy Pavelko, and he said that if in the current circumstances there is an opportunity to go to the training camp, it will be done. We will be happy to start preparing the national team this year. The guys are full of desire, and as a coach I am also interested in having a training cycle throughout the year.

The national beach soccer championship among students is already taking place in Ukraine. It takes place in the capital's Hydropark, and four men's and women's teams take part in it. We really hope for these competitions, maybe we will see young talents. We will look for it! ” - said Mykola Kostenko.
