The fifth Defender's Cup charity football tournament will take place in Kyiv today
On October 16, on the occasion of Defender of Ukraine Day, the fifth Defender's Cup mini-football charity tournament will take place.
Playing teams: Heroes of Kruty Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the team of journalists of Ukraine and the Patrol Police Department of the NPU.
Organizers: Ukrainian Football Association, Ukrainian Premier League, Heroes of Kruty Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and IA "News Center".
The main purpose of the charity tournament: implementation of social initiatives aimed at the rehabilitation of servicemen who protect the integrity of Ukraine in the war zone in the east of our country.
Ukrainian football stars will be present at the tournament. The matches will take place in compliance with medical protocol and sanitary and epidemiological norms.
Venue: Kyiv, street Moscow, 45/1. Start - at 15.00.

The Defender's Cup is an annual tournament that brings together the military, anti-terrorist operation participants, politicians and journalists to help displaced children from eastern Ukraine.
On October 22, 2016, the first Defender's Cup charity football tournament took place at the Lokomotiv Stadium. In the final of the penalty shootout, the team of journalists lost to the team of the regiment "Dnipro-1", which won the "Defender's Cup - 2016".
On June 24, 2017, the "Defender's Super Cup" took place between the winner of the ATO League Cup - FC "Zenith", Zolotonosha and the winner of the "Defender's Cup-2016" - the team of the regiment "Dnipro-1", Dnipro. The Defender's Super Cup was won by the team from Zolotonosha.
On October 20, 2017, the second Defender's Cup football tournament took place. Six teams took part in the charity tournament. In the final with a minimum score, the team of the Air Force of the Armed Forces defeated FC "Presidential Regiment".
On December 7, 2018, the third Defender's Cup charity football tournament took place. Four teams took part in the charity tournament. In the final, the team of journalists defeated the team of the Patrol Police Department.
On December 6, 2019, the fourth Defender's Cup mini-football charity match took place. The fourth Defender's Cup charity tournament was attended by teams from the Heroes of Kruty Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization, the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Team of Journalists of Ukraine and the Patrol Police Department. The team of the National Guard of Ukraine became the winner of the "Defender's Cup 2019".
