The Ukrainian beach soccer team has started the selection for the 2021 World Cup with a victory over Turkey

The Ukrainian beach soccer team successfully started in the qualifying tournament for the 2021 World Cup in Nazare, Portugal. 

In their debut match of the group stage in Quartet A, Mykola Kostenko's wards met with Turkey. The Blue and Yellows had a very good first period, responding to Esilirmak's goal with three goals scored by Shcherytsia, Medvid and Zborovsky. 

In the second 12 minutes, first Esilirmak and Zborovski made doubles, and then Terzioglu reduced the gap of the Turks to one goal - 4: 3.

In the third period, our opponent twice restored the balance in the match, but still with the efforts of Borsuk, Medvid and Zborovsky, who scored a hat-trick, the Ukrainians won a very important victory - 7: 5.  

The second match of our group A, in which the national teams of Portugal and Kazakhstan meet, will end later.

The further calendar of our team will depend on the results of its performance in the group round.

It will be recalled that the Ukrainians need to take first or second place in the group and continue to win in the quarterfinal match with one of the two best teams in Group D (Switzerland, France, Azerbaijan, Estonia). Four semifinalists of the qualifying tournament will receive passes to the 2021 World Cup.
