Natalia Zinchenko: "It's good that we won at this stadium"

The head coach of the women's national team of Ukraine Natalia Zinchenko commented on the victory over the Faroe Islands.

Today in the first match of the European qualification of the 2023 World Cup Ukrainian won over the Faroe Islands team with a score of 4: 0. After the match, Natalia Zinchenko praised her wards.

- The fact that we won is good. Especially at this stadium, where they lost in the previous match. After the game, we did everything we set out to do. Somewhere there were problems in the implementation, but in general they calmly finished and won.

- Surprised by the absence of Dar'her Tailor. She's fine?

- All is well. She is preparing for Spain, will play.

- How did the girls react to yesterday visit Andrey Pyatov? Would you like more players of the national team to visit you??

- It was a big surprise, everyone was very happy. All our girls are very worried about the national team and more. When Andrew arrived, there was a lot of joy, photos. I think it helped us emotionally. Today we had a good game, emotional. I think many people enjoyed it.

- The girls said that our team did not play with the Faroe Islands national team at a professional level, but met for a long time in youth teams. Did you have enough information to prepare for this match?

- We played at the U-19 level against the Faroe Islands, I trained then. There are a lot of girls in the team since then. It is clear that since then the Faroe Islands have grown as a team. The hand of an experienced coach is felt. I once played against their coach: she was part of the Danish national team, and I played for our team. The Faroe Islands were very organized, they counterattacked well, they had moments. Just a little lack of experience. I think in the future the Faroe Islands will perform much better, will create more resistance to teams that are higher in the rankings.
